  • Accessibility for Manitobans Act and Resources
    • The Accessibility for Manitobans Act outlines a clear and proactive process to identify, remove and prevent barriers in key areas of daily living.
    • The legislation requires Manitoba organizations of 1 or more to have an accessibility plan
    • Public sector organizations must create an Accessibility Plan beginning in 2016.
    • The standards which must be met are:
      • Customer Service – in effect November 1, 2015
      • Employment Accessibility
      • Information and Communications – in effect May 1, 2024
      • Built Environment
      • Transportation
